Membership of the SPAA allows full access to SPAA Council, provides members with up to date information regarding Suppliers and the opportunity to network with Suppliers at SPAA events. The SPAA works with ABTA, GTMC, IATA, ATOC, CAA and Advantage under the “one voice umbrella” and represents members on key issues at political levels in both Scottish Parliament and Westminster. EVENTS
Annual SPAA Dinner: Attended by Senior Travel Industry Personnel from throughout the UK. Opportunity to purchase tickets which include an invitation to the Cocktail Reception & after dinner party. Networking opportunities
Networking Lunches – free of charge for up to 2 Member representatives. Members can meet with SPAA Council, Associate Members or other Agency Colleagues for networking and introduction purposes.
Seminars (prior to networking lunch), free of charge for up to 2 Member representatives. Members have access to presentations on many varied and important travel related topics with participation in Q and A sessions encouraged.
Opportunity to purchase tickets for Summer in the City (SPAA Ball) and Annual Travel Awards evening
STAR (Scottish Travel Agents’ Roadshow) Exhibition (in Aberdeen, Edinburgh & Glasgow) Attendance at STAR for unlimited company representatives. STAR allows the opportunity to meet with SPAA Council Members and Suppliers and learn more about their products and services.
Annual Face-to-Face Lunch (in Aberdeen, Glasgow or Edinburgh) Free of charge for a Member representative. The “by invitation only” lunch will include members of SPAA council, Travel Agency Members and Associate Members. All Members are encouraged to share any relevant and appropriate information regarding their areas of business to stimulate frank and open discussion. (Chatham House Rules apply)
Annual SPAA Travel Quiz - Members can enter teams for these fun and informative events which also provide the opportunity to network with Council, Suppliers and other Travel Agency members. (heats held in Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh with the final in Glasgow)
