The SPAA is delighted to announce the launch of its newest event for 2022
The Awards have been designed to recognise the contribution of Travel Agency Staff in Scotland in both the Business and Leisure Sectors. There are eleven Award categories and the Awards recognise a variety of Agency Roles.
A judging panel will decide the top three applications in each category and the eventual winners. The top three from each category will be invited to attend the Awards Lunch at The Surgeons Quarter in Edinburgh on the 8th of September, along with their nominator (Supervisor/Manager or above)
The Award Categories are –
Best Contribution in a Leisure Consultant Role
Best Contribution in a Cruise Consultant Role
Touring and Adventure Consultant of the Year
Operations Manager of the Year – Leisure Travel
Business Travel Consultant of the Year
Operations Manager of the Year – Corporate Travel
Business Development Manager of the Year – Corporate Travel
Corporate Account Manager of the Year – Corporate Travel
Best contribution in an Agency Support role – (non reservations)
Newcomer of the Year
Rising Star of the Year
So how do you submit a nomination?
A Supervisor or Manager should submit the nomination
Nomination forms can be found below
The nomination will be a written submission of between 250-300 words explaining why the person has been nominated
Nominations open on the 6th June and must be submitted by 22 July. Any nominations after this date will not be considered.
Once the form is completed it should be e mailed to [email protected]
For assistance some examples of why a person might be nominated could be –
from customer feedback
implementation of new ideas that have a direct impact on Company revenue
implementation of new ideas that benefit colleagues and/or the Company
charity work that is related to the travel industry
actions over and above the call of duty

The nominations will be anonymous for the judging panel.
